“Do you know, the benefits of lemongrass are greater than cooking?” It called Lemon Grass or Lapine (scientific name Cymbopogon citratus Stapf) Is a relative of the grass family. In Thailand can be found in every region. It is a type of Thai herb that is popularly used in cooking.
It is both a medicine and contains vitamins and minerals that are beneficial to the body, such as vitamin A, calcium, phosphorus, iron, etc. And also has mosquito repellent properties as well.
Cooking with fresh lemongrass
As you know, most of Southeast Asian cuisines use this. For example, Thai people prefer to use this as an ingredient in many foods such as tom yum, tom kha, etc., and lemongrass can be used to deodorize fishy smell as well.
Put it in tea are refreshing beverage and it also delightfully healthy. The taste and smell of it blend perfectly and make a tasty cup of herbal tea. It full of antioxidants and good for digestion process.
It is popularly extracted as an essential oil. Which can be used for both external massage and blending into a fragrance to give a relaxing scent. Lemongrass oil is a natural substance that is not harmful to the body. It also can be used to repel mosquitoes, ants, or even as a pesticide.
For my opinion This is the best herb, I love its smell. When I went to The Thai fragrance shop, the first smell that touch my nose is lemongrass. It makes me feel comfortable and relax.
Not only the smell, the best way to feel lemongrass for me is when I taste Tom-Yum-Kung. Which is a classic spicy Lemongrass and shrimp soup. It can not be complete the perfect Tom-Yum Soup without Lemongrass !!
