Is logical thinking important to employers and employees? The word “logic” means “reason” it comes from the Greek word. Employers place a high emphasize on employees who display strong logical thinking or reasoning skills because their decision making is based on actual data. In the majority of cases, organizations do not want employees use their emotions instead of reason when they are working.

 

What Is Logical Thinking?

Logical thinking is the process in which use reasoning consistently to come to a conclusion. Problems or situations that involve logical thinking for structure, for relationship between facts, and for reasoning that ” make sense”.

 

 

Why we should have to use the logical thinking in workplace?

 

    Nowadays people use their emotion than reasoning when they are working or decision to do something. “I believe in myself”, “I am my own boss” or ” My idea is the best” If you use these sentences when you are working without using the reason or do not accept other people’s opinions. It might be effect to your work and your personality. People who use the reasoning skills to work or do everything. These people will get accepted and respected from other and colleague.

Example: Salespeople should have a standardized. Should not show bad emotion or ego same like “I only believe in myself” but Sales is a structured set of tactical steps Prospecting, Preparation, Approach, Presentation, Handling objections, Closing, and Follow-up. It can help you success.

 

 

The logical thinking is the thinking method “It must have cause and effect”.

So, how the logical thinking is important in the workplace?

  • Logical thinking is focus on the importance of problems (Big picture).

Example: When have a problem in project we will focus to find what is the real problem and do not blame each other.

  • Logical thinking will clearly set the desired goal. (Goal setting)

Example: Write monthly goal in book for remind you and plan.

  • Logical thinking shows the sequence of reasoning. (Cause and Effect).

Example: If you work hard you will get good better work

  • Logical thinking will analysis the effect to find the way to solve the problem.
  • Logical thinking will estimate the problem it might happen and find a way to avoid.
  • Logical thinking focuses on prioritizing solving problems.

Problem-solving is another major soft skill to cultivate. When unexpected wrenches are thrown into the gears, a good problem solver will stay calm and think critically to get things moving again.

In conclusion, the logical thinking is specific to analyzing of the true reason of success and failure and clearly shows the steps of the story. To make decisions by choosing the optimal solution. We might say that “Rational decision making”. Therefore, logical thinking is considered a process of creating a systematic problem-solving habit. Make logical decisions rather than emotions and avoid problem solving according to the traditional paradigm.
